About the artist
Ray "Mr. Swiftie" Castro is a guitarist/vocalist based in the DC area. He has been playing guitar for over 30 years and previously played in a popular NoVa based cover band. Currently, he is a solo acoustic musician who plays regularly at venues across the DMV, as well as corporate and private events. Ray plays a very fun and upbeat show, covering primarily radio hits from the 90s and 2000s, specializing in rock/pop/alternative music, Taylor Swift covers, along with popular familiar favorites from the past. But if you're looking for a more laid back vibe, he can accommodate that as well. He has experience playing at multiple festivals, and is a sponsored artist with KLOS Guitars, the makers of the largest selection of carbon fiber instruments in the world. With a background of spending 20+ years in the corporate world, followed by years of running his own businesses, professionalism is one of Ray's highest priorities.
